Santo Domingo,- Nonresident tourist arrivals to Dominican Republic climbed 7.7% in October, according to a report by the Central Bank, which specifies that there were 17,866 more visitors compared with the same 2009 period.
It said the growth of the tourist flow during the January-October 2010 results from the arrival of more nonresident foreigners, or 17,205 additional tourists, “which means a variation of 9.05% compared with the same month last year, whereas nonresident Dominicans showed an increase of 1.68%.”
As to the first 10 months this year, 3,799,871 passengers arrived, or 4.26% more than the 3,644,679 which arrived in the same 2009 period.
